Hero's that caught my eye #12

I actually couldn't remember this hero's name for the longest time. I remember when the movie came out for Daredevil. My sister and I always knew him as the blind hero that kicked ass! Now if you can remember something like that years before you started to like superhero's then they definitely have to be someone that caught your eye.

Matt Murdock also know as Daredevil grew up in Hell's Kitchen NY. His eye sight was taken from him by a radioactive substance making him blind. With no sight Matt learned to use his other senses instead and realized his senses are beyond a normal humans. With that in mind he trains himself to use them for fighting and to find anything he needs. Jack Murdock Matt's father was killed when he was a kid because he wouldn't throw a fight for some mobsters. Matt latter gave himself the identity Daredevil and seeks out revenge on the people that killed his father.

I have a few comics of daredevil and his a really interesting comic character I think. The new comic by Mark Waid I think are really good. I have the first eight of them and I haven't been disappointed with them yet. I also have two trades my sister got me one with Elecktra. I don't like that girl very much. She likes to play with Matt's feelings and as I said before I hope she dies ( i think she does too :D )

If your interested check out that series! It's super good :)

Hero's that caught my eye # 11

Ted Kord also know as the blue beetle is probably one of my favorite original crime fighting people. He mostly uses his combat skills to fight and occasionally uses weapons like his gun that shoots strong blasts of air and also can blind people with high flashes of light.

The Blue Beetle before him saved his life and to keep the blue beetle name going Ted felt it was his responsibility. Taking the Blue beetle identity he started fighting crime. To travel around, he flys in his flying beetle or as I call it " the beetle mobile". The thing looks really cool! Who wouldn't want a ride in one of these!

Later in his crime fighting career Ted joined the JLA and was partnered with Booster Gold. The two of them quickly became friends. Both of them tend to make jokes and say stupid things at the wrong times but that's what makes the comics funny. The two of them are always finding trouble to get into.

Ted's career as a superhero ended later due to Maxwell Lord. Ted found out something he wasn't so post to and went after it. You can find the story in the book below. Ted was an awesome hero and will be missed by all. Another person took over Blue beetles identity then. My friend really likes him prob because of his high tech outfit and all. I haven read his story but his not going to be as good as Ted Kord I bet you that.

Found this funny pic for all you blue beetle fans :P

Hero's that caught my eye #10

I'm actually shocked and surprise I didn't do Hank Pym. His my all time favorite hero! I mean by now people should of guessed that. Funny how I heard about him and he turned out to be my favorite hero. As you know I really wasn't into comics, watched superhero things but never thought much. Yea JLA and Batman were the shows! I loved watching them Saturday night while eating popcorn and junk food.

After watching Avengers on May 4th opening day I decided superheroes would be my new thing since I couldn't collect manga or watch anime due to my mother not liking it ( sucks but eh I'll watch it again one day). As I did some research I discovered that two original avengers aren't in the movie, Ant man and Wasp. Reading a lot about them I learned their powers and red a few comic blurbs too. I then decided I would tell everyone about this Ant man guy and tell them what I know. I spent so much time looking him and wasp up ( more so him) because of his powers. Shrinking down to the size of an ant, talking to them and even having them help you is fucking awesome!

From there I got my first ever Ant man comic down at C & C's comic cave because at the time I was going around looking for anyone that had any comics of him. They had one copy and latter as I came more often had more for me! Dimension X had no clue who the hell I was talking about and later still don't. ( don't go to they they don't know anything) If you want to hear about them check out myComic stores in general blog.

So Ant man was my hero and still is. I love reading anything with him in it and I really hope Marvel makes a comic just about him and maybe the wasp ( she's ok ). Plus I can't wait for the movie! Until then Keep calm and Ant man on!!!!

Hero's that caught my eye #9

DR. MID-NITE..... His name basically tells his story. I heard about him on one of my trading cards I have. The picture I thought looked cool and today I actually got my first comic to read with him in it.

DR. MID-NITE (or Charles McNider) is a really skilled surgeon. One day he gets called to remove a bullet from a client that is going to court to testify against some mobsters. First thing I thought was something's gonna happen. You never want to mess with mobsters. While he was getting the bullet out of the person's skin the mobsters ( who knew they were going to loose and didn't want that to happen) threw a grenade in the room killing the client and blinding Charles.

He was afraid he could preform any more surgeries due to his blindness. At home one night when he was recovering an owl flew through his window injuring itself. He took off his blindfold and when he did he was surprised he could see. Charles then figured out that his eyes could only see good in complete darkness and not in the light. He helped the owl and basically adopted it and called it Hooty which I think is a pretty cool name for an owl. The owl inspired him to create a pair of eye ware that helps him see pitch blackness in the day and helps him see even better at night. Hooty also became his crime fighting partner and inspired him to be DR. MID-NITE

DR. MID-NITE soon became part of the JSA and he went on from there. Sounds interesting for a doctor. (At least for me)

So I hope this gave you some background on him. I know I learned some things and hope to get some more comics in the future of him and tell more about him to everyone once I learn more.

Hero's that caught my eye #8

I'm not really sure if you should consider him a hero or just a looser but here is Deadpool!!!!! Personally I think his funny and is a misunderstood...... Uh creature ( let's just go with that)

I first heard if him from some guys at school. They were always talking about him and I got tired of hearing about him and also not knowing who he was. Finally I asked Kani ( my friend) and he explained him, his powers and basically that his a psycho to me. ( on top of that really funny)

Interested I asked the guys down at the comic shop and they hooked me up with some issues. I didn't stop there too! I got the Deadpool Vegas book and a few other issues but my all time fave is the newest Deadpool series.

In this one his fighting the dead presidents that have come back fro. The dead to take over the US because they don't like they way they were running it and head of them all is GW!!

It's really good and I would totally recommend it to all you die hard deadpool fans :) funny pic time!!!!

Hero's that caught my eye #7

I've always liked Captain America. He is the coolest, most original and well known among everyone. The stars and strips go a long way with him. Fighting evil and saving life's while rocking that American flag he wears proudly on him.

I have many comics with him in like avengers and maybe 2 just about him. I also have a really big trade book that shows his older comics. Most still need read like usual with me. My collection is big and just keeps growing so more for me to read :P

I know him enough to tell you some stuff. ( I think everyone knows this stuff though) Steve Rogers tried to enroll in the army during WW2 but got denied every time due to him being so weak and a lot if health issues but that didn't stop him from trying. Finally someone saw he wanted to go in so they told him they had a secret soldier serum that could make him taller, faster and above all stronger than anyone. The procedure went perfect until one of the red skull's (hydra's men) shot the Doctor that made the experiment work forever loosing the ability to reproduce it for others. Steve Rogers then set out fighting hydra's men and saving people's life's with his partner Bucky.

I don't know much about Bucky other then he was his younger sidekick. I shall have to read the comics and learn more about him. Until then Captain America will save the world risking his life for everyone. Cool thing is I have a Captain America sweatshirt where the hood goes over your face to form a mask. I even cosplayed as him at a comic-con with my own hand made shield which was awesome!

Hero's that caught my eye #6

The uni power, a power source that takes over a hosts body in a time of need. It never stays with one person it always moves to others to help them and will be called Captain Universe! Most people never heard of this power. I know I haven't put I'm still new to everything.

I first got introduced to it by my friend and in these 5 comic series. The uni power took over Daredevil, X-23, invisible women, hulk, and sliver surfer. I thought it was really good. The cool part about the uni power is that when it switches from people to people it learns and gives the ability of strengths it had from its previous host to the person. An example would in the 5 comic book series everyone got a lot of strength due to it being infuse with the Hulk. Daredevil could see and could hear everything better around him which had to be nice for a bit. Feel bad for the guy. His one of the smartest heroes in the prospective of him using his other seances to use and bringing justice to the bad.

Would I recommend people to check it out? Yes I actually would. As I said before not many people heard of it. It kind of died and no one really uses it much. I know spiderman was infused with the uni power at one point and so was others. There are not many comics though. So if your interested go to your local comic shop and check it out.

Hero's that caught my eye #5

For me doing these heroes and villain's that caught my eye are fun. I like to share my opinions on heroes, telling you what I think is cool about them and whatever else I want to say. For this one the hero is Spiderman.

At first I never really cared for this wall climbing hero but now I think his interesting. I watched those older Spiderman movies staring Tobey Maguire and I thought they were ok. When it came to the third one I really didn't like it but I heard he just wanted to ruin the movie. The new movie The Amazing Spiderman was really good. I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it at first because I remembered the other ones weren't that good and thought it was another add on to the older ones.

My friend Taylor finally convinced me and we went to see it. It was amazing! ( that's why it's called amazing Spider-Man :P ) I got into a few starter comics then. In them Spider-Man is really goofy and funny. I never knew he acted that way but I like it! A new twist and creativity.

I know the issue #700 marked the end of the amazing Spider-Man series but the superior spider man is the on running new series based on it. Haven't gotten my paws on it yet but I hope to soon. Cool part is I heard Peter has a mad scientist look going on at times which is awesome! I asked my mom for a lab coat to wear because it would be cool. Still never got one yet..... Still waiting for one too!

Hero's that caught my eye #4

My friends down at the comic shop just introduced me to Power Girl. I have to say she's actually pretty cool. I don't have that many girl superheroes that I like or haven't been introduced to yet to say I like a bunch of them.

I know for sure I really don't care for wonder woman. I never really liked her as a kid and I still don't like her now. I feel that she's always showing off to Superman and all the JLA how good she is but she's not. Sure she saves people but geez look at her. She has to pick an outfit that is like glued to her and makes you want to look at her particularly guys. I will admit she is pretty but she doesn't need to go around showing herself off. It's probably a girl thing to dislike other girl superheroes we think make other superheroes look bad, but I know others say the same thing.

Now for power girl she can't help having big boobs. I know people that hate it and she probably does too. It's one thing that always attracts guys attention for some reason. Personally I don't find it attractive or the butt either. It's art as some artist would say. Yea when I was a kid I freaked out about nude people like everyone else but now its like eh. It's just the body. Power girl always has the guys eyes going down to her chest and she always has to guide there eyes back up to hers.

I think she kicks butt! She is a really pretty girl too. Her fighting style is awesome and she puts all her effect into saving the earth no matter if she has to die and that's what gets my attention. Your probably thinking isn't that what all the superheroes do? Well yea they all do but some fight for other reasons and for her that's all she has. Save the world or die trying and that's how people respect you.

Hero's that caught my eye #3

Hawkeye the bow archer everyone should know. I actually never heard about him until the Avenger movie. The only one I actually knew about was the Green Arrow. I used to watch him on the cartoon show Justice League. That was the superhero show at the time until they made other cooler ones but still it's one of my favorites.

I got to know him by some of the Avengers comics and one of my personal favorites about him Avengers west coast. It mainly shows him leading a group of avengers and what he has to go through in battles and stuff. There really good for some of the older comics. ( not saying anything bad about the older comics. There actually my favorite things to read.)

The issues that I recently just finished and Marvel just finished was the Marvel Universe vs The Avengers featuring Hawkeye of course. I would of never known or heard about it if it was for the guys down at the comic shop. I thank them for that! :D

There were only 4 issues but they were the best! I liked them more then the Secret Invasion. I have the Wolverine vs the Marvel Universe which I am going to read next and on my list to buy is the Punisher Vs Marvel Universe. There all based on the same thing which is awesome!

Anyway Hawkeye is cool in general. He can shoot anything anywhere which is really impressive. His not one for all the fancy superpowers but he has one hell of a shot with his bow and arrows.

Hero's that caught my eye #2

Superboy! His one of my all time favorite heroes. I got introduced to him but at first was like ummmmm I'm not sure if I'm going to like him. I gave it a shot and less then 30 later was back at the comic stand asking for more. The issue I read was when he was first introduced in the Superman comics. I really don't care for superman. I find him boring but that's just my opinion. I then got into his own comic series.

His a punkish teen clone of Superman that is learning things the hard way sometimes. The leather jacket and buzzed hair go perfect since he was created in the 90's. I don't like newer Superboy with the longer black hair, regular S shirt and jeans. Not the way I like him. Bring out the jacket, sunglasses, and buzzed hair and were good to go.

Dc has really gone Down hill lately. It's not as good as it was years ago. I see them falling in the future unless they get there crap together. Superboy and just a few other superheroes I actually like. The new 51 Superboy I didn't even touch because I heard all 51 issues were bad.

If you want a good read check out the 90's Superboy you won't regret it. I'm trying to collect them all right now and when I get a few more I'm going to read them all at once. I can't wait till I have them all!

Hero's that caught my eye #1

My friend landshrksattacks told me I should do blogs on heroes I discovered from reading my favorite heroes comics that caught my eye. The first one that I thought of was Wiccan and Speed.

I first found these two guy from reading the secret invasion. I only had a few issues at the time but they stood out right away. I didn't know who they were at the time but I did a lot of researching just to find out there names. It turned out there the son's of the Scarlet Witch which is awesome!

Out of the two I really like Speed. I always liked the idea of having super speed and running all over the world really fast like Flash or Sonic. The sliver hair is a good touch and I'm a little jealous of his goggles. I always wanted a pair to wear around my neck everyday but never got the chance to buy one yet. Also I always wanted sliver hair. Your probably thinking what the heck that's old people's hair but I think personally its cool. I would want that and purple eyes if I could.

My friend thinks Wiccan is cooler but I'm always saying Speed. His hyper and full of energy. Wiccan on the other hand seems like the cool and on top of things guy which isn't bad. Personally I always enjoyed the loud and energetic heroes for the most part.

Well after finding these two I wanted more comics of them so I got some young avengers and now I'm trying to get my hands on young avengers children's crusade. I just can't wait to read more about

them!

If you haven't checked out this blog sight you should.
